Christ, by the Spirit, living in my spirit….
“As many as are led by the Spirit are the sons of God, and the Spirit bears witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God”, Romans 8:14 & 16.
By looking at these two verses together, we can come to the conclusion that God’s Spirit leads us by bearing witness with our spirit what the will of God is for our lives in any given situation…..even the Scriptures are brought to our remembrance, by the Holy Spirit bringing them up in our spirits.
You are a spirit.
You posses a soul: mind, will and emotions.
You live in a body.
BUT you ARE a SPIRIT.
Paul said, “I serve God with my spirit”, Romans 1:9
In 1 Corinthians 14:14&15, Paul explains a spiritual mechanic: ‘when I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit – by the Holy Spirit, is praying’.
Cultivate your understanding/consciousness that you ARE A SPIRIT.
Without that, your mind will always want to lead you based on the information it takes in from the 5 senses, or what is going on in the natural.
The witness/leading IN the spirit, is usually very quiet, subtle….not forceful. It comes more like a suggestion than a command.
The mind is very loud and mouthy….unless it is being renewed, then it begins to take the place of a ‘servant’ to God, rather than trying to be THE COUNSELOR! It gets very quiet, because it realizes it doesn’t know everything!
2 Cor.2:14: “Thank be unto God who always gives us the victory in Christ Jesus.”
The victory is over sin & Satan.
Living as a spirit, a RECREATED spirit, serving God with your spirit, sensing His direction with your spirit, is the key to the continual fulfillment of 2 Cor. 2:14.
The following is taken from an article to which you will find the link below…..think and learn about the reality that you are a spirit.
The human spirit was designed as an appropriate organ for entering into contact with the divine Spirit.
Man’s spirit, the special objective of God
Man is made up of many parts; he has a mind, he has emotions, he has a will, he has a conscience; he is endowed with a body, he has organs, bones, muscles, senses, a heart; but of all man’s being, there is one part that is special to God. It is the spirit. It is possible that for the Church this part isn’t so important; perhaps what is more important is its hair, eyelashes, figure, or silhouette. We sometimes do not even distinguish the spirit from the soul, so how will we be spiritual if we do not even know our own spirit, its operation, and its functions, as being something important to God?
God could have said: I am Jehovah, I set forth the heavens, I made the earth, and I created man’s eyes. But He didn’t say eyes or silhouette. God said, spirit. The spirit is the Holiest Place of the temple, and the Spirit of God comes to man’s spirit to live. The Spirit of God settles in man’s spirit (Ezekiel 36:26-27). It is in man’s spirit where the Spirit of God communicates what he is, what he wants, what he approves, what he reproves. We could say that the earth is the capital of the universe, that man is the capital of the earth and that the spirit is the capital of man.
